I have a similar problem..
I'm new with CUAE so please could someone provide me with some assistance.
I'm
trying to run the MakeCall example but when I write
http://<appServerIP>:8000/makecall_tut?to=5000 in my browser, I
get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the page.." error.
It
seems that the host is not even listening on port 8000. Where is this
configured? From the Cisco Administration Guide, 8000 should be the
configured port for the Application Server receiving http requests, but
where do you define this because it seems that this port has not even
been defined.

With this release, the core addendum includes an upgrade to Dialogic HMP
3.0 SU 225.

The Administration Guide describes the backup and restore process.
Here is a direct link to the particular section

Essentially cuae-backup will backup the 'mce' database, any other additional databases in MySQL will need to be specified manually (read the section in the admin guide for directions).

So what other databases are there is probably your next question...

If you'd like to see what all databases are contained in your MySQL installation do something like:
c:\> mysql -u root -p
Enter Password: *******

Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.

In a production environment, I would recommend backing up, just in case. Nothing will stop you from upgrading without backing up, but if something were to go wrong, you'd be a lot happier for creating a system backup.

As for the backup... It is certainly safest if you take a backup first.

My experience is: if you take the time to do a backup, you won't need it. If you don't take a backup first, something will go wrong.

Whoops...that's what I get for working at 2:00am. I had a type-o in my
directory number I was using in the barge action. A sting instead of a
number does in fact case the Application server engine to restart. I'll
open a defect on that.

Hi Zafar,

my fault - the variable used in RemoteHost parameter was not initilized
(originally it was, but for some reason the "InitializeWith" got empty).

for example) and see if something pops up, for example an uninitialized
strings. If still unresolved, provide us the log and may be a snapshot
of the property grid of the action preceding the error condition.

Zafar - I was able to resolve this - it appears that the "Include" that was added to the configuration was at the top of the config file. I moved it to the bottom of the conf file and restarted apache and it works now.

Hi Patrick:

It appears there's a Apache configuration issue. Can you provide
httpd.conf file and exact apache version ?

wrapper log file says "Table 'mce.mce_system_configs' doesn't exist".
This may indicate that the database didn't get installed properly.
Please login to mysql (which you indicated you can) and check to make
sure the "mce" database is there and it actually has tables in it.

Was this a clean install on this machine or there was a prior
installation and either it was removed or installer was ran again ?

Were there any issues/errors during installation process ? Is this an
SDK mode installation where you installed the prerequisite components
(Apache, MySQL, etc) yourself ? What is the exact version of CUAE
installers. Also, were there any existing Apache/MySQl on the machine
before you started installing prerequisites ?
