In short, optimization includes the control knobs to tweak performance on networks prone to packet loss and higher latency. When combined with policy-based control of applications, application acceleration and optimization offers IT leaders the ability to inject corporate policy, such as network usage policy to application access. IT can also compare the new optimized baseline with the pre-optimization baselines to show the value achieved using the data trending.
