Unable to load axlapi.html (ver 8.0) browser crashed

Hi,

today I tried to have a look at the AXL documentation ... without success.
I opened the axlapi.html on a dualcore, 4GB RAM with Firefox. After consuming 1,7 GB RAM Firefox crashed.

Is there a possiblity to produce not one 58 MB(!) html-file but a lot of smaller files?! Any WSDL-To-HTML, that works with this?!

Kind regards

Axel

Been there, done that ;-)

I had a littel bit more success with Safari (this was on a Mac) I could load and scroll through the document - but it was slow. (The machine only had 2GB RAM and Safari was eating over 1GB alone)

Another reason for not bothering with the SOAP API...

GTG

This used to happen to me all the time. I can get the file to open in Chrome but it still ends up hogging a lot of resources on my machine and it takes several minutes for it to load and for the PC to become responsive again. In hindsight, Cisco probably should have made it a PDF rather than an enormous HTML.

I have the exact same problem.. I can open the 7.1 version in Firefox, but not the 8.0. The v8 one is almost twice the size. But I can open both of them in Chrome, but as Ben said, they hog ALOT of resources..

I don't mind them being a HTML file, but they should have broken the large file, into smaller files.

They learned their lesson. The 8.5 schema is broken up and loads quite nicely.
