What is CPU index and how should I calculate it?

A platform index is assigned to each platform based on the strength of the platform's CPU. The Application CPU index is then calculated based on the following formula:
Application CPU index = Platform Index * CPU usage %

Bryce has an platform index of 10,000.

For example:
If an application requires 60% cpu utilization when running on Bryce, the CPU index is 10,000 * 60% = 6000.

The advantage of using an index based value is so that the same package can be installed on other platforms without having to recalculate the cpu requirement (i.e. re-package). Other platforms will have a platform index relative to Bryce's platform index based on benchmark results.
