Virtual Instance xxxx start failed: License expired

Combination View Flat View Tree View
Hi

I am developing the solution for recording voice.

Today I received under message from AXP when I reset AXP module.

AXP(config-isrs)# no shutdown
Virtual Instance isrs start failed: License expired
How can I recover this problem?

Thank you.

Hi Jin,

The error message clearly says that the License has expired. They may be coming because of expiration of the temporary license in case you are using any temporary license. Based on the requirement you may have to install a permanent license.

Thanks,
Anusha

Hi Anusha

I read the sentence on AXP_1.6.1 User Guide
"For the (non-SRE) NME and AIM2 platforms, the evaluation license never expires."

And this document explain processs to order. but SKU doesn't  include any NME or AMI type to order.
I am developing on NME module. and it upgraded axp 1.5.x from axp 1.1.x.
and I already bought 1.1.x license.
How can I get PAC and permanent license ?

Thanks.

Hi Jin,

You don¿t need a PAK/Permanent License for Network Module Engine (NME) devices. If you are requesting keys for the first time, have not received them before, please fill out the request on this page.

Thanks,
Anusha

Hi Anusha

Thanks for your response.

I already received the key for developing from this page.

Key ID: 10614
Expiration Date (YYYY-MM-DD): 2010-10-20
Privileges: Kernel
Platform(s): NME AIM2 VmWare    ISM+SM

If the develop key is expired, Is the application which installed by the key not run on AXP ?

I want to deploy my application on AXP in my customer site.

How can I control that the axp be expired ?

Thanks.

Hi Jin,

If you are trying to install the application which was bundled using the key which has expired now means it won't run on AXP. You need to get the keys by requesting via ask-axp-pm@cisco.com

Thanks,
Anusha

Hi

When I packaged my application and installed it on AXP. the key wasn't expired.

My application run on AXP and looks good.

But after it's expired and when I reset the axp module that installed my application. My application does not run.

I thank the key expired date restrict  to run my application.

Do I send mail to ask-axp-pm@cisco.com to get permanent key?

thanks

Hi Jin,

Yes please send an e-mail to ask-axp-pm@cisco.com to get an authorization key.  Provide the expiration information and basic information such as your company name, service module equipment you are using along with the certificate number.  This number is most easily found in the file name of the tar file you originally recieved.  For example, in file AXP_cert_10695.tar the certificate number is 10695.

Thanks,

Brett
