Many Thanks for help !

Hi Christophe,

It looks like one of the tools the pkg_build.sh script uses is failing, but I'm not sure where.  I have a couple of questions.

Do you see anything in your core.log?  This file is located in <project-dir>/tmp/core.log, i.e. /home/administrator/axp/projects/output/tmp/core.log.  Please take a look at that file or upload it's contents.

What Linux distribution is your workstation running?

Thanks,

-Carl

Hi Brett,

We checked md5 and unarchieved again the SDK, the issue is the same.

Hi Chris,

We downloaded and installed Ubuntu 10.04 and are not seeing this issue; however we think the issue might be caused by an older version of bash or coreutils that you may be using. Please follow the steps below and let us know your results.

1. Run these commands and copy/paste the output.

$ perm="8fff"

$ printf "perm=%d\n" 0x$perm

2. Please send us the version of coreutils you are using. You can get this by:

Open Synaptic

Click ¿Utilities¿ on the left hand side

Scroll until you find ¿coreutils.¿ Look at what the installed version is.

Happy New Year!,

Brett

Hi Brett,

1° Find hereafter the results :

administrator@axp-dev:~$ perm="8fff"
administrator@axp-dev:~$ echo $perm
8fff
administrator@axp-dev:~$ printf "perm=%d\n" 0x$perm
perm=36863

2° The actual released of coreutils  installed is « 7.4-2ubuntu3 »

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

The output below looks correct, so it may be something else in the environment.  Can you upload your project directory?  In this case, it's /home/administrator/axp/projects/output.  If it's too big, I'm specifically looking for the /home/administrator/axp/projects/output/tmp and /home/administrator/axp/projects/output/templates directories.  These are usually small and may contain clues about the environment.

Thanks,

-Carl

Hi Christopher,

The Core log is showing that an invalid value is being printed by the /home/administrator/axp/source/sdk/axp-sdk.1.5.3/lib/pkg/scripts/utils/create_manifest.sh file.   Please take the following steps and let us know your results.

1.  Check the md5sum values of the files located in the directory specified above.  I've provided the correct values for the 1.5.3 sdk.  If your values are different, the sdk is corrupt and you'll need to extract it again.  If you are using Winzip for extraction you must first turn off the Smart Tar feature.
