Combination View Flat View Tree View

I downloaded these 2 files
axp-k9.nme.1.6.1.tar.gz
axp-k9.nme.1.5.3.tar.gz from the cisco site to my laptop.

I then FTPed these 2 files to a linux server and untared the files. But when i go to install the package i get this error

Ashish,

This issue typically occurs when the files are untarred using Winzip when the 'Smart Tar' feature hasn't been disabled. This corrupts the files. Here¿s the correct md5sum of the untarred 1.6.1 NME files.

Ashish,

I wonder if something maybe occurring during transport. Please use your ftp server to copy a file from one terminal to another and check that the md5sum value of the file has not changed.

I will also check this installation in my lab. I have a couple of questions below.

1. What is the original, if any, version of AXP that is currently installed on the service module? You can get by typing 'show software version' on the service module.

2. What is the NME blade you are using? This can be accessed by typing 'show hardware' on the service module.

Brett

We will not be able to enable FTP in our servers because of security issues.

Ashish

Ashish,

Thanks for the data. I'm running tests in my lab now. Please test your ftp server using your sftp protocol to verify that it and/or the network is not corrupting files in transport.

Thanks,

Brett

Ashish,

I¿ve reproduced the issue you are seeing installing AXP 1.6.1 via the sftp protocol. However, it does install properly using ftps. Please use the ftps protocol to do your installation and let me know your results.

Thanks,

Brett
