Hi,
I'm currently converting our CUIC server into a UCS VM server.  We have a lot of custom reports;

Is there an easy way to move them/copy/transfer them all to the new box?

thanks

Why not use the DRS backup and restore, assuming its the same IP and hostname.

Suggest exporting the def and rep for just in case.

Just noticed this in the admin guide. Not sure if the backup includes the rep and def files. My guess is, should be there in the DB. Need to schedule one backup and check this out.

The following are backed up:

<ul>
<li style="font-size: 11.000000pt; font-family: 'Helvetica';">
CUIC and System databases

</li>
<li style="font-size: 11.000000pt; font-family: 'Helvetica';">
Unified IC configuration and properties files

</li>
<li style="font-size: 11.000000pt; font-family: 'Helvetica';">
Encryption files

</li>
<li style="font-size: 11.000000pt; font-family: 'Helvetica';">
License files

</li>
<li style="font-size: 11.000000pt; font-family: 'Helvetica';">
Platform config files

</li>
<li style="font-size: 11.000000pt; font-family: 'Helvetica';">

The only way i know of to accomplish this is to open the reports drawer and then right click on the report you want to export to import into the new CUIC VM, then select 'Export", choose a name and it will be zipped and downloaded to your desktop.

To import to the new CUIC VM, go to the reports drawer, click the "Import Report" button and point it to the zip file on your desktop.
Select the Data Source and folder to store it in and complete the process.

Hi Stephan,

This can be done using Backup and Restore

Please follow the steps mentioned in CUICInstallation Guide.

Chapter 8: "Upgrades and Migrations"
Section: "Restoring the backed up data on the Cisco Unified IC Virtual Machine "

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Thanks

Sorry, I should have closed this post.
Backup and restore only works if the new server has the same hostname and IP.
In our case we were converting to a virtual with new hostname and IP so backup/restore was not an option. We were trying to avoid the one-by-one export/import process.

thanks
