UCCX v5.2 with CTI Protocol?

Hi,
 
Can anyone tell me if the CTI Protocol already existis in Cisco UCCX v5.2? I have developed a solution based on CTI Protocol v8.5 but I'm not sure if the v5.2 already has that API and if there is retro-compatibility between these two versions.
