You need to create a day of the week and then a time of the day step, one branch should have a call redirect to voice mail and the other will be the branch for the queue.

Up to this point, you don’t need any variables, but you will need to create a Java expression to compare the current date with the date when the holiday prompt needs to be played. There you will need a string variable, and another prompt variable for the prompt that will be played.


I recommend you to check the online documentation (Cisco Unified Contact Center Express Scripting and Development Series) to learn about the steps first and create basic scripts with what you need, and then you can start creating more complex scripts like the one you need. It is not difficult but you always have to start with the easiest.

John Sang has created a new message in the forum "Contact Center Express Scripting Questions": -------------------------------------------------------------- I need to create a script where when a caller dials in and depending on the time of day and day of the week it will send the call into a queue. Any other time it will be sent to a voicemail. The script also needs to check on certain days to playback a holiday message and then send to voicemail. I have'nt touched CCX before so this will be my frist script. I need to understand what variables to set and how to go about structuring the script. Thanks in advance.
