Cisco wants your app to gain high visibility to the Enterprise market by being included in AppHQ ! In order to reach this goal, it is critical that you ensure your application does not contain any of the following potential security risks:

  • Invalid Signature (Ex: Android Debug)
  • Known threats and malware
  • Known exploits or attempts to bypass the Android security framework
  • Private API calls
  • Executable binaries
  • Root level privileges
  • System level privilege
  • App contains profanity or pornography
  • App has malicious host or URLs (phishing or data mining)
  • Permissions do not meet app type/category
  • Critical Permission or unjustified High Permission in use

Additionally apps containing "Critical Permissions" and "Critical Security Permissions" will not pass Cisco Security Validation process. Click here to view details surrounding permissions to avoid when writing your application.
