Do you intend to keep pace with the Android release cycle?

 A. We will release on Android Froyo 2.2. We are committed to keeping up with the Android releases to enable
new features and functionality. We intend to line up Android ongoing releases
with our broader Cisco system releases to ensure system test, interoperability
and compatibility with other Cisco products. This is yet another reason why
Cisco Cius is a solution designed for business.

You can also get started now by creating a custom skin with the same basic dimensions as CIUS.  The nice thing about Android is that many visual elements are described via a layout mechanism and then rendered by the Android platform itself in a way that makes sense based on device screen size and orientation.

RE: Android SDK development?
cius android skin
Answer
9/1/10 8:35 PM as a reply to Larry Michalewicz.
if anybody would be interested in an unofficial skin of the Cius for the vanilla Android SDK (no Cisco-specific functionality available), I just went ahead and created one with some graphics from the releases available: Cisco Cius Unofficial Skin for Google Android Emulator.

Enjoy and happy Cius deployment.
