I hope to share and perhaps, check if anyone else has encountered this:
 
Leaving the Cius connected to a wifi AP over-night has its Wi-fi status "disconnected" in the wireles & network settings.
(It might be because of power-saving mode or WiFi Sleep policy)
The strange thing is, the Cius is still able to browse the internet through a browser / WebView but unable to make a phone call (Telephony service is unavailable)
 
Here's a list of observations I made.
 
1: Connect the cius to AC power with my app on over the night.
2: Observed that wifi is disconnected from the status bar and wireles & network settings.
3: ADB logs show that the Cius is still connected to the Wifi AP.
4: Telephony service is unavailable. Unable to make phone calls.
5: Cius does not respond to ping
6: Cius is able to access the internet / resources in local network
 
Is this the same issue as http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5147203/wifi-sleeps-even-with-lock
or should I be managing some form of network connectivity as a running service in the Cius?
 
PS: I have used wake lock and wifi lock to ensure connectivity for as long as my app is running.
