Wireless and Mobility Testing

Interoperability Verification Testing
(IVT) offered under the program is designed to allow developers to demonstrate the interoperability of their products (application software and/or hardware) with Cisco technologies. View this diagram to understand the IVT process.

IVT varies by technology. To learn more about IVT for a particular technology, please refer to the respective Developer Center.

Program

The Context-Aware Mobility solution allows organizations to capture and integrate business processes with detailed contextual information about items such as location, temperature, availability of a person or whether an asset is in motion. This solution leverages the Unified Wireless Network to collect real-time contextual information about mobile assets and users. Once all the contextual information has been captured, calculated and stored by the Context-Aware software module, it can be made available to any business application that needs it through the Cisco Context-Aware Mobility API, which is based on Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and XML protocol. Access to this API is available to any Cisco technology partner and allows a full integration into the business processes of customers.

Testing Requirement

Assurewave Partners and Developers are required to test interoperability of their client devices with Cisco's Unified Wireless Network, (CUWN) for every major release that is targeted for Assurewave Certification. A spot check for major feature set of partner devices and CUWN is acceptable for other minor releases. The qualification of release into major and minor will be determined by the Cisco AW Solutions team. Availability of software images will be announced to partners. These images might contain pre-release code under NDA intended for LAB USE only.
