Subject: New Message from David Lender in Computer Telephony Integration Object Server (CTIOS) Toolkit - CTIOS Toolkit Questions: RE: New Message from Hemal Mehta in Computer Telephony Integration Object S

David Lender has created a new message in the forum "CTIOS Toolkit Questions": -------------------------------------------------------------- Finesse is both an Agent Desktop and a webservices API. For more information see the Finesse Developer Center here http://developer.cisco.com/web/finesse

The Finesse desktop is a gadget container. There is a sample screenpop gadget in the Dev Center: http://developer.cisco.com/web/finesse/screenpop

<summary type="html">So I guess there is no migration path from CTIOS to finesse and everything needs to be configured developed brand new on Finesse. I assume that basic functionality and screen pops etc must be very easy to configure with finesse right unlike CTIOS where code change is required ?

David Lender has created a new message in the forum "CTIOS Toolkit Questions": -------------------------------------------------------------- CTIOS will be around to support TDM ACDs Finesse will be the preferred desktop for UCCE and UCCX. CTIOS is considered a “Legacy API”. There are currently no plans to phase it out.

<summary type="html">What is Cisco's thought on future of agent desktop using the CTIOS route vs Finesse.  Is CTIOS going to be eventually phased out ?  I understand that Finesse has some issues and may not be widely used yet.  Any idea or perspective on this would be appreciated.
Need to plan future upgrades accordingly.
