The CTI Server Message Reference Guide posted on CDN is for protocol version 14 (ICM 8.0). Is there a protocol version 15 with ICM 8.5? If so, can someone point me to the reference guide for it, please?

Yes there is a protocol version 15 which includes additions for agent greeting support.
