JD Liau | In terms of Media Server functionality, you do not lose anything major. We do add improvements in 2.4.3 for Voice Recogntion integration and SSML support. Of course, there are lots of bug fixes between 2.4.2 and 2.5 beta.

Hi,
I upgraded my app server from 2.4.2 ---> 2.5.0.8108 BETA2.
However, my media server (on a separate PC) is still at version 2.4.2.
I can run the MakeCall and AnswerCall demos ok, and the logs show the Media Server registering etc.
What functionality do I loose if I do not upgrade the Media server ? Can I still develop etch based apps ?
The reason I am a bit reluctant to upgrade the media server is because its running on a real server as opposed to VMWare, and it will not be easy for me to revert back to a working config, if I need to go back to 2.4.2 for any reason....
Thanks Shahed. _______________________________________________ Cuae-beta mailing list Cuae-beta@developer.cisco.com
