Hi,

As I create thea Monitored CTI Device Pool I get the following:

And the I press edit, nothing happens:

I am running CUAM 2.5.1.1 R2. Is there anything specific to be configured on CUCM?

Thanks

Hi Fransisco,
Ensure that the device you want monitored has registered successfully with the CUCM and then configured as per the following guidelines:

CUCM: Go to User Management > Application User
CUCM: If CUCM Application User with CTI permissions isn't already configured, select Add New
CUCM: Enter UserID and Password for the Application User
CUCM: Under Device Information, add the device you want to have monitored
CUCM: The groups added must include "Standard CTI Enabled". Saving this configuration will populate permissions based on groups.

CUAE: Create a Device Pool in accordance with the guidelines
outlined in the Adding Device Pools > Creating a Monitored CTI
Device Pool section of the CUAE Administration Guide.
Ensure that the Username/Password entered are the same as that of the Application User monitoring the device at the CCM end.
CUAE: Under Devices, click Edit.
CUAE: Add the Device Name of the device you wish to have monitored. This should come up an 'Enabled Running' in a few moments.

Hope this helps,
Neha

Hi Neha,

Thankf for your reply. I followed your recommendations but the same happens... I attached images with exactly what happens when the DP is created and also the CUCM Application User.

When I click"Edit", I can't see any relevant information, just as the print screen in the previous post.

Any idea what this can be?

Thanks,
Francisco

Hi,

Also when I click "Edit" and then the details tab, I get the attached image:

Hi Francisco,

The issue you've described is generally seen when the publisher node in the CUCM cluster does not have Call Control/CTI checked, and the subscriber nodes do.

As a workaround, I suggest that you check the Call Contol and CTI options for the publisher node as well.

Thanks,
Neha

Hi Neha,

Are you refering to "Cisco CTIManager" in the CM Services under Service activation in the Seviceability pages? If so, the Pub and Subs have it Activated.

I also checked, the user I am using and it has CTI control enable and the the role as well. The devices i want to monitor also are CTI enabled.

Thanks,
Francisco

Hi Francisco,

Please navigate to Connections>
List Connections> [Cisco Unified Communication Manager Cluster]>
Cisco Unified Communication Manager Cluster Nodes on cuaeadmin and
ensure that the 'Publisher' node listed there has 'Call Control' and
'CTI' options checked.

Thanks,
Neha

Hi Neha,

Call Control and CTI are now enable on the publisher and everything seam to be working fine. Thanks for your help.

Thanks,
Francisco
