<summary type="html">hey Doug, i'm getting similar (identical) error messages in my AppServer log. just put a new CUAE server on our lab network, and i'm going thru some of the example apps to test basic functionality.i'm currently testing the C# etch based httpmakecall app.

i'm running an IP communicator across a VPN connection to the network, where i have a CUAE app server and media engine co-resident on a flat network with some local phones.

two interesting observations:

1. when running the application, and using local phones as TO,  i can answer the phone and everything completes successfully. except, no TTS messages are heard on the phone.

2. however, when running the application while using IP Communicator over VPN, when i answer the call the IPComm instantly ends the call and i get your errors listed above.

this makes me wonder if there is a firewall issue that is causing the issues.

have you had any luck in resolving your issues?

our situtation required that we monitor and responded to 8 emergency service numbers. each with SNR configured, that would route the second leg of the call to cuae. this allowed us to observe the incodent call, without disrupting the normal call flow.

<summary type="html">[edited] was incompete, was on the train, and had to get off (my stop)

hello folks,

we're developing a 911 campus response system.

the high level requirement will be to passively monitor for 911 calls. not to intercept or disrupt the flow, just to trigger a local campus alerting system in the event of a 911 call.

as a part of the design, a requirement will be to have parallel system running.
i have a few questions around how these redundant system will become engaged.

Redundancy
1. the primary (CUAE 1) will always process the trigger first, unless primary's services are no longer available, in this case the secondary (CUAE 2) would then handle the event.
have both CUAE (1 and 2) platforms register the script/app, and from the secondary perspective it would poll the primary's state (is it running, is it working...) ....... if PRIMARY == OK then wait for an execution status notification

the execution status notification would indicate if the whether the primary executed the script/app successfully or not.
if STATUS OK then ignore event
if STATUS NOT OK then execute script
if NO STATUS notification, within elapsed time, then execute script

How should this be handled? is there a way to pass status information between CUAE's? using the management API?

any suggestions would great.

i have the AnswerCall application running on my new build of CUAE. the application works well when dialing from a physical hard attached to the same switch, however, if i use the CIPC softphone for testing the app, i receive a fast busy

IE:
IP Phone 1008 -&gt; Dials -&gt; AnswerCall Trigger 51109 -&gt; Success

all the settings appear to be consistent between the Physical IP Phone and the Softphone. the only difference, is that the softphone is not directly on the same network the CUAE/UCM servers exist. but that doesn't seem to explain the fast busy.

are there any special considerations when using IPC and CUAE?
