Visual Studio Plugin is not part of the install in the current version
of Etch. The workaround is to do the following on the cmd line -

etch -b csharp -w all <etch file name>

You can then manually add the files in Visual Studio.

Thanks,

* If you are using Visual Studio as your IDE, then you can install
the Visual Studio Etch Plugin. TODO Make sure the setup.exe for the
plugin is a part of etch install...

i can't seem to find the etch plugin for vs. i checked in the usual
download spots. if anyone has a link, that would be great.

Do you see

"ETCH_HOME=C:\Program Files\Etch\etch-1.0.1"

in your environment variable list? If not, please set it. The Etch
installer suppose to handle this part, do not why you are seeing this
issue.

Also, Etch plugin for Visual Studio 2005 is not supported. It does not
work with Etch version 1.0.1.

Guys,

I need some help with installing and using Etch. I have installed the
CUAE 2.5.1 development tools and the Etch release 1.0.1 package on my
machine and plan to use C# for development with Visual Studio 2005.

I'm however unable to run etch from the command line. I get the
exception shown below. Am I missing something ? How do I install the
Visual Studio 2005 Plug-in for etch.

My machine details

The devices are online, except a couple, but there is 118 devices that I
am monitoring. App Server is running, and JTAPI 6.1 and 7 are enabled.
Also, my CTI Route Point doesn't always register. It will, then it drops
and says enabled and stopped.

I have added just over 100 phones to my Device Pool. Some of the
devices show enabled stopped, with no Directory number. Others did show
enables running, but now show enabled stopped with a Directory Number.
All devices are added to my CTI user in CUCM, so how come not all the
devices are showing enabled running.
Another question, a lot of the phone, in fact i think all of them have 2
DN. How does the device pool pick the DN that is registered.

Thanks
Tim
