Rohit,

I doubled check and it is the correct mac_id.

One think I notice is that under License Modes...It says

Cisco Unified Application Server License ModeSDK

Cisco Unified Media Engine License ModeSDK

I have never done this before but do I need a production CUAE instead of
SDK?

Thanks,

Hi,

Please open the license and confirm that the mac id in the first
line of the license (SERVER this_server <mac_id>) is the mac id of the
server you are running CUAE on.

Thank You,

Subject: [Cuae-developers] Add new License

Hello,

Our company had bought 20 (two 10 package) more license for CUAE. I
apply the scripts within CUAE and it still shows as 6 application
licenses. I had already restarted the app server and media engine but
still shows as 6. I can see that there is a separate section in License
Management page within CUAE admin, it does show the two separate license
that I have already put in.

Is this what it's supposed to do or does it need to show the number of
license as well on the License Management page?

Our CUAE...Software Version: 2.5.1.95 SR1

Thanks,

Sou

The numbers you see in the Media Engine log (mms.log) are the resources the Media Engine is actually aware of and loaded for use.

Hello Daniel,

Thanks for your answer.

I've installed all the prerequisites:
. NET Framework 3.0
. NET WebServices 3.0 Enhancements
Apache 1.3.x
J2SE JDK 5.0
MySql Connector ODBC 3.51
MySQL
Dialogin HMP 3.0
NeoSpeech TTS

And I installed the packages in the following order:
1. CUAE-platsvc
2. CUAE-APPSERVER
3. CUAE-mediaengine
4. CUAE-devtools

Once installed all I have tried to enter http://10.56.200.10/cuaeadmin and I get the following error:

"502 PROXY ERROR"
"Could not connect to remote machine: Unknown error"

Reviewing the apache log -error.log- appears:
"Proxy 10.56.200.10 connect to port 8080 failed"

and from the CUAE Designer when I deploy the following error:

"Could not log into Application Server"

Any idea?

Let's say, for example, that the server's ip address is 10.1.1.2
You should then be able to access the administration webpage at http://10.1.1.2/cuaeadmin

Are you able to access that webpage?

If so, the first time you access it after a new install, you'll see the EULA and you'll be prompted to set some more passwords.
After you set the passwords, you should be able to login to the admin page. (username is administrator and the admin password you just set)

Can you get this far? Can you login to the app server?

Hello everybody,

I am trying to install CUAE, I followed all the steps in the web and I have installed all the software marked as a prerequisite.

The main problem is that it is not exactly that I take to run the environment. I tried to use the sample makeCall but I get the following error when carrying out deploy:

"Could not log into Application Server"

And, I don't enter to http://<IP>/cuaeadmin

Someone I can explain the procedure to start the server CUAE and what might be the problem?

Thank you very much.

I don't have an ETA the doc will be available, but we're aware that
folks are asking for it sooner than later. Once it is ready, it will be
posted to Cisco.com and also linked to from the developer wiki.

Thanks Daniel,

A SRND type of doc would definitely be handy for us. Currently, our
custom app is running on an App Server (on a 7845) that has the media
Engine co-resident. But we have the freedom to architect the solution
that would help us scale to the customer needs. If we have ball park
numbers, it will help us tailor the architecture around those numbers.
We are looking to scale in the recommended fashion, obviously.

Regards,

Vasu

Exact guidance is hard to provide because there are a lot of variables
and unknowns. Here's some things to think about

First of all, the logic in the app or apps would play a big role in how
man concurrent scrip instances could be run.

If the app requires a lot of computation from the App Server, then it
couldn't run as many concurrent instances.

If it is very light on the App Server, you could have a lot of
concurrent instances.

Second of all, is this an App Server-only box? Or is the App Server and
Media Engine co-resident?

Media Engine obviously requires a portion of the system resources so if
this is co-resident, it should be factored in.

Third, which particular hardware platform are you using? A 7845 has
double the resources of a 7835 or 7825 so it would be able to handle a
larger load.

Basically, it comes down to load/performance testing the apps involved,
especially if they are custom written apps.

We're working on making a doc to provide ballpark performance numbers
and sizing guidelines, for various hardware platforms and some apps
we've made... but those numbers may not apply to your case directly.
It's best to test a custom app yourself.

Hi,

I would like some guidance here. The fully licensed CUAE states that the
maximum number of possible application sessions is unlimited, and the
licensed value is 100. Is there a max recommeded number of application
scripts for production environments ? The max number of sessions for
the Media engine is probably restricted to 240. Please let me know if
there is any documentation with this regard that one can refer to.

Thanks & Regards,

Vasu
