Cisco Unified Application Environment version 2.5(1) Beta 4 is available
to download. 
This is pre-release software and should not be used in production
environments. 
New and changed information for Cisco Unified Application Environment
Release 2.5(1) Beta 4: 
[list] [*]Refactored Management Service API [/list] The Management Service API was
refactored to remove redundancy and improve ease of use for the
developer.
[list] [*]Cisco Unified Application Environment upgraded to Etch 1.0.1 [/list] The Cisco Unified Application
Environment upgraded to Etch release 1.0.1. If you developed
applications or plugins with previous 2.5(1) Beta releases, you must
update your build files to link to the correct version of Etch. For

[list] [*]SSL Cisco Unified Application Environment Administration [/list] Interface
The Cisco Unified Application
Environment uses OpenSSL to provide HTTPS secure client access to the
Cisco Unified Application Environment Administration web interface. You
can upload your own SSL certificate and private key or use the interface
to generate a certificate and key. You can also enable or disable SSL
and restart the Apache web service via the user interface. For more

NOTE: Using OpenSSL is supported for
production installs only.
[list] [*]Cisco IP Phone Services Validation [/list] By default, Cisco Unified Application
Environment validates data from applications using the IP Phone Service
API against the IPPS XSD. To disable this validation, set the value for
the IncludeCiscoIpPhoneServicesValidation key in the
AppServerService.exe.config or AppServer.exe.config file to false.

STEP - 1 -- Register at Cisco.com 
If you are not yet a registered guest at Cisco.com, you will need sign
up to be able to download software, participate in the mailing lists and
to open issues. Go to [url=http://tools.cisco.com/RPF/register/register.do]http://tools.cisco.com/RPF/register/register.do[/url]
and sign up for your free guest account if you do not already have an
account at Cisco.com
STEP - 2 -- Signup to the new mailing lists 
After registering, sign up for the new mailing lists. If you are
interested in trying out the public beta release(s), you should sign up
to the new CUAE Beta mailing list. The CUAE Beta list is the forum we
use to communicate with the developer community about all issues related

sign up.
STEP - 3 -- Download the Software 
Once you register with Cisco.com and you sign up for the mailing list,
you should download the software. The software may be downloaded from

STEP - 4 -- Open Bugs and Enhancement Requests 
Finally, no pre-release software is perfect; bugs are expected. If you
find a bug or have trouble with a feature that just doesn't work quite
the way you think it should, open an issue in our new issues tracking
