Is it true that I have to configure and setup a sip gateway instead of a H.323 gateway to enable jtapi monitoring of an ip phone device?

Then also, how do you integrate jtapi monitoring of a phone into an ip phone service application? As in any help with creating such a script?

You don't need an H.323 gateway or SIP trunk when using JTAPI. Instead,
you just need to configure in /mceadmin a CTI Manager, and a CTI
Monitored Device Pool... and add device(s) of interest to the monitored
device pool.

The API Reference for JTAPI in 2.4.3 is located here:

I have set this up as you suggested and when I go to manage devices in my pool, it will not search on anything provisioned in the UCM. I can type in either a DN or a Desc and still nothing. Am I doing something wrong?

Melissa:

Please provide a little background on what you are trying to achieve. It
appears you are trying to add devices in a device pool using Add Device
entries. You would need to add devices in this pool (it will not auto
provision or search anything directly from CCM).
