Bradley Wheeler | I am posting this here because mailto:cuae-sales@cisco.com] is apparently not a valid address. I would appreciate some assistance in clarifying the licence structure for Application Server in a "production environment".
I have a client interested in using the CUAE for development of a message storage and retrieval (text only) solution, I am trying to figure out exactly what type of licensing would be appropriate. I have looked at the table on the data sheet, and I would just like to clarify the terminology and variations available in the documentation.
First of all in reference to the terminology used to differentiate the different license types (i.e. premium, enhanced and standard) I am not sure I understand what is refereed to specifically by "licensed application instances per server". Is this just a limitation to the number of "different" applications that can be resident and run from on server, or is this more complex than that ?
Additionally I would like some clarification between what the "Unified AppServer 2.3 Instance xxx-Pack" are, I am assuming that they are additional license packs that can be added on to either the enhanced or standard licence to increase either the concurrent instances or licensed application instance per server, but I would like some clarification on this too if possible. Thanks Brad Wheeler |
