Is it possible, using CUAE or some other API, to change the call display name of a call, based on destination? ie. If i'm calling person A, i want the phone to display "Joe smith:", and if I'm calling person B, i want the phone to display "Cisco" as my display name? If so how?
Thanks
Chris

Using the enhanced selectRoute() method in JTAPI, it is possible to modify the calling party number; but currently it is not possible to modify the name.

Thanks David, I'll search on this. As a followup to this, does modifying the calling number causes the CM to refetch the alerting name? I'll try this technique out and find out but you may know the answer beforehand.
Thanks
Chris

No, AFAIK the alerting name will remain the original alerting name.
