    <summary type="html">Can't get the original message's objectId using REST but if you are looking for the details of the messages in the chain, that can be fetched.

Do a GET /vmrest/message/&lt;messageobjectid&gt;?details=true
on the message for which you want to get the details.
It will give you the detailed output in which there will be attachment information. Look for the attachments having content-type "message/rfc822". Those are the messages which were forwarded in this chain. There are all the details for those messages but not the objectid.

    <summary type="html">I dont think Unity connection has any special "configuration" per say for managing redundency for outside applications. Either use the load balancer or design your app to handle it.

1. Check the content-type header which you are setting while sending the POST request.
2. The request body which you are setting while sending the POST request.
3. Check the request details using something like Fiddler.

    <summary type="html">I tried it with a 7.1.5ES setup and my java API works fine for the POST operation. Not very much familiar with the .NET api though.
As far as I am suspecting, this can be a case of incorrect request format. Try creating some object other than user like a callhandler, cos, partition etc. and see if you get the same error or not.</summary>

    <summary type="html">With Admin credentials you need to pass the userobjectid as the query parameter, it will be the user who is calling.
With Admin credentials:
/vmrest/calls/8?userobjectid=&lt;objectid&gt;
 
With user credentials:
/vmrest/calls/8
 
If the userobjectid is not passed, the logged in user is treated as the mailbox user but an admin user is not someone who owns a mailbox. That is why you are getting this error.

I am able to add the voice name for a user using the said API but its a PUT request not a POST. Try executing a PUT request on the same setup, if it still fails then we can have a webex session to debug the issue further.</summary>

It seems to me that you are using a version of 8.5 which did not have end user CUPI (/vmrest/user) introduced to it.
Can you upgrade your setup to an 8.5 build version greater than 8.5.0.21 and check whether you are able to access the API.</summary>
