Hi Gregg,

I am not sure I understand what you mean with "reads" but as of now OAMP only "pushes" SNMP confguration to CVP devices
(like Callserver, VXML srver, etc ...) but not to GWs (IOS devices).

Hope this helps,

Thanks

Martin

Subject: CVP Operation Administration and Management Portal (OAMP).

Hi All,

Can you please tell me if CVP Operation Administration and Management Portal (OAMP) will support SNMP reads into gateway devices rather then direct access. The issue is customer politics has removed the call centers team direct access. They have provided SNMP read access to the call center team. Is there a way for CVP Operation Administration and Management Portal (OAMP) to work with SNMP? Thanks

Regards,

Hi Martin,

I should have been more clear on my request. Does CVP Operation Administration and Management Portal (OAMP) support SNMP access to IOS based devices? Thanks

Nope. Martin was trying to say that this is not that complex, but is not a universal solution.

The ORM (client side of the Ops Console on the CVP box) receives the SNMP.CNF file created by changes on the Ops Console. The modified Cisco SNMP agent installed on the CVP box knows where to read this file.

It can't talk to a general piece of hardware - it needs the ORM.

Geoff
