Yes, the tutorial guide from 3.3 is still quite relevant for CVP. Keep in mind the subdialog start and end elements as well as the difference in how you make a new application in Studio vs the old builder.
There are also new application settings available, though you wouldn't need to use them in any of the tutorials.
