Earlier today, as I was typing a comment in our internal issuing-tracking system, I hit backspace to correct a typo. WHAM! I go back to the previous page, and my long-winded comment is gone. Apparently I somehow left the context of the text area (did I tab, or spuriously click, or??), which causes backspace to act as a hotkey for "Back". The web browser was not very forgiving of my mistake.

Currently you cannot control the fidelity of the speech recognition in a menu component.

The keyword "exact" means the caller has to say the exact phrase whereas ommitting this means they only have to roughly match it.

The Menu components should have this feature enabled/disabled for each menu item component as per 2.2.5 Grammar Generation in the VoiceXML Specification.

Form element, the most flexible out of all the elements, allows developers to define an external grammar and use it in the application. Hence, you would be able to use the attributes mentioned above.

With that said, we have entered the request to add the new attribute to the menu element with the issue number CSCsh50449. Please refer to this number when checking status.

Thanks but that is an external grammar, it still doesn't resolve the internal grammar issue which your tool generates and we have limited control over.
