CVP Callstudio- Database dip using JAVA API

Hi,
I am trying to write my first java class with call studio action element. I am looking for a proper document or sample code which will help me to understand how can I pass values between call studio script and java. For exapmle I need to pass session data from call studio to java and vice versa. Please someone help me with a sample code or document to help me going forward.

My knowledge with JAVA is very limited. I normally do UCCE implenentation and basic icm scripting/call studio scripting. Now I am trying to learn call studio scripting with JAVA custom element. Do you believe this documents are the first phase for my studies. Do I need to know JAVa in depth?

Mark, Why don't you sign up for my 4-day CVPD-Java Programming class? If you know Studio then the java class will teach you how to develop all kinds of custom components. Mark,
     It would be good for you to learn some java first and then look at these samples.  It depends on what you are trying to do  what your requirements are.  In some apps you may need very little or no java, some apps you require medium expertise and for some apps you may need  advanced java skills.  For complex apps and where there is lot of data tapping, parsing manipulation, transaction management, security and other complex app requirements, you better be good at java, if not you can create a bad design and a IVR that will be plagued with issues.
CVP is a very powerful tool, with which you can create real cool and monster IVR apps, if you know the power  of underlying concepts in vxml and advanced java and related J2EE technologies and know these in depth.  At the same you can also create very simple apps easily and which may not need java.   So it will helpful for you to start picking up java to start with.
