    <summary type="html">Yes Ranjana. We handle a lot of data which requires indexing, hashing. In our current Nortel Periphonics IVR the IDE comes in with readily available elements that perform file handling.
 
From your reply on the other post I understand that I have to build a custom Action element to achieve this through Java.Thanks again for your help.</summary>

Could you please be more specific as to what these files are for? Are you looking at reading files from CVP application? That you can do so by making use of the custom action element. Appreciate if you could add more details of your requirement.

    <summary type="html">Having worked on Nortel Periphonics all time CVP Studio is quite new to our unit. We use a variety of files starting from normal text files to index files &amp; also hashing. But then we have built -in blocks as part of the IDE to achieve this.
 
Wonder if CVP Studio has any such feature or do we have any Custom components that can be plugged in?
