Is there any version difference between the JRE's being used? If so can you revert to the old one and check? If not, can you also try removing one or more jars and see what happens? Do you get the same error?

That checks out ok. I have a previous version of the project that works. I compared the lib folders in both application and util. They are the same. I also removed the endpoint settings in the current project and tried to deploy. It still didn't work. So I suspect that my call start and call end code has nothing to do with this problem.
As a last resort I'll try to merge my current changes into the previous version. But I was hoping to avoid that.
Do you have any other ideas?

When you test with the debugger, you have to have all the associated
custom Java classes either within the studio app in the directory
<appname>/deploy/java/application/lib folder or in the call studio
debugger directory
"C:\Cisco\CallStudio\eclipse\plugins\com.audiumcorp.studio.debug.runtime_6.0.1\AUDIUM_HOME\common\lib"
Don't know if that's what's wrong, but it's worth checking.
