Digital Media Suite 5.3 benefits for DMP 4400?

Hello,
We use DMP 4400's running firmware 5.2 and 5.2.2 and have had several issues with the NTP not giving us the correct time.  We do not use any Digital Media Suite software and only interact with the DMP through their admin page.  Does anyone know if upgrading to the Digital Media Suite 5.3 includes any fixes or added benefits for the DMP's?  Does it even contain any upgrades to the DMP's themselves or is this just the Digital Media Suite and Manager?  Thank you.  Forgive my ignorance but we have never used the DMM.

Is the NTP server reachable during the DMP boot up (i.e. can you ping it from the DMP network)? There is a known issue where if this is not the case, then the NTP service will never start. This is scheduled to be fixed in the 5.4 release.

Other than that, just make sure you don't have ICMP traffic blocked.

We are able to ping the NTP from other computers on the same network as the DMPs. The DMPs still continue to show the wrong date and time. I will have to check on the ICMP traffic being blocked or not.
