Surely. It's pretty straightforward.

Assuming you already have a site set up in IIS, you simply need to FTP the
files to your server. I would create a special directory for this. Once you
do that, you'll have a url like
http://your_ip/Weather_widget/Weather_widget.swf You can then test the
flash file in your browser by navigating to that URL.

I tried out the flash file, and you'll need to get weather information from
the yahoo site according to the directions. At first, the widget didn't
work. I noticed the XML file had a question mark at the beginning, and I
removed that. Once I did that, the flash file was able to consume the XML
data.

Once you have the URL, in DMD, you can create a blank presentation. Then,
create a playlist, "All Media Types". The playlist will appear on your
canvas. Double click on the playlist to open it. Then click "Add URL" Put
in the URL of your flash file, click OK, and then save. You'll then need to
push the presentation out to your DMPs, or a test DMP, if you have one
available.

The zip package includes the cross domain XML file. You'll need to FTP this
file to your web site root directory, if you don't already have a cross
domain policy XML file installed. The XML file included allows all domain
access. You can edit this in the XML file if you want to add restrictions.

Good luck.

I'm hoping to use this to navigate HTML and Flash.
Have a missed a step? do I need to add code to get touch to function with html?
I've looked through all the documentation on DMP / DMM / developer API that I can find, yet there is almost nothing about use of touchscreens with the DMPs.
Anyone had any experience here?
A nudge in the right direction would be really appreciated, as this setup is something we hope to roll out across our unversity campuses as a standard.

I have created a solution that allows you to integrate the content of SnS with SharePoint. I created a timer job in SP that consumes the SnS API and executes a query using my desired criteria. The XML response that is returned is then parsed and the links are posted to a SharePoint list. I then create a custom search scope pointing to that list and execute a full crawl.

To make it even more tight, I also adjusted the DispForm.aspx on the SharePoint list so that it has the video embedded in the page using the JavaScript function that is in the SnS product documentation. Just capture the CCSID value when consuming the SnS API and write it to a separate SharePoint list column....then you can plug it into the JavaScript function on the page.

I have not tried to crawl the actual SnS database, I would much rather just use the vendor provided APIs then try to hack something on the backend.

I may blog about my solution and provide the source code if I have time. If I do, I'll update this post to include the URL.

A few questions to get some context. Can you give more details about the text that you have pasted? Is this the HTML that you used to upload your asset? Have you been able to upload an asset using the HTML form in the document titled "Digital Signs API Programmer Guide v5.2.2, 5.2.3, 5.3.pdf"?

DMM API calls limit for username?

Hi!
1) I am checking for usernames one by one using the HTTP GET from the DMM:

https://<DMM_IP>:8443/dmscore/api/rest/usermanagement/users/user?userName=<username>

But it fails after 5000 HTTP calls. Is there a limit to how many calls the DMM can take?

2) If I use user listing, for 1 to 100, I use:
https://<DMM_IP>:8443/dmscore/api/rest/usermanagement/users?Start=1&limit=100&orderByCol=username&orderBy=asc

For the next 100, I changed the Start and limit to 101 and 100 respectively:
https://<DMM_IP>:8443/dmscore/api/rest/usermanagement/users?Start=101&limit=100&orderByCol=username&orderBy=asc

But I am still getting the usernames for 1 to 100.
I have also tried using Start and limit for 101 and 200 but it also gives the same result as the first call.

Does anyone face the same problem? Is there a limit to the numbers of users the DMM can take?

Thanks.
