I have a K-12 education client considering the Cisco Digital Media suite bundle.  There is only one issue holding them back that they would like to offer their teachers.  Teachers would like to wirelessly push screen content to a dmp connected to their projector.

Very similar to the wireless VGA gateway inFocus Liteshow III (http://www.infocus.com/Accessories/Wireless/INLITESHOW3.aspx) device. Yet the Liteshow does not provide all the benefits the Cisco DMS bundle provides. The other isssue is it does not have the processing power to show flash video (Youtube, etc) in a smooth motion.

Is there a way through the API's or loading additional software on the DMP to provide this functionality? The perfect example of what would need to be acheived would be iTALC software (http://italc.sourceforge.net/home.php).   Essentially a teach would be able to choose different students laptops or their own with the iTALC tool.

Than you,

Are you asking to display what is on a student's laptop screen on the projector in real time?

Yes, real time collaborative screen shareing. With the ability to share a flash based webpage as well.

Thank you,

The DMP can display stream live video from a multicast stream. If you could provide a multicast video stream of a desktop, then you would be able to play that onto a DMP.

Hi Hashir Baqai !
I'm building a IPTV using Multicast, window streaming server v9.0 and DMP. I made a Multicast stream in the format: 225.225.1.2:8080 but i don't know how to configure DMP play this stream to a LCD TV.
Can you help me to fix this issue?

Enter the DMP's IP address into a web browser. After providing a correct username and password, you will see a menu. On the side bar click the menu label titled "Video Multicast". Enter your multicast stream ip address and port number and click the "start" button.

Hi Hashir Baqai!
I did like your comment but DMP doesn't play anything in LCD. May be my stream format is wrong? which types of stream and streaming server you used?
Thanks anyway!

Hoai,

DMP supports MPEG2 in UDP MPEG2_TS
or MPEG4 part 10 in UDP MPEG2_TS
