How to upload files to the Finesse directories

Hi,

For developing/customizing the Finesse layout, a customer was using the root user so he could upload files to the directories of Finesse.

Now, with the FCS version, that is not possible anymore, as there is no root access. I'm not a development expert but, reading the Developers Guide, could not find information on how to upload files to the Finesse server.

Can you please help? Is this information on another guide or is there another method of doing it?

Thanks,
Zelino

Additionally, should the custom Gadgets be uploaded to the server? Should the procedure be the same as the one to upload the layout file?

The Finesse layout file is edited using the Finesse Admistration page and the Layout tab .

Finesse requires you have an external web server to host your gadgets. You cannot upload your custom gadgets to the Finesse server.

Ok. Thanks David!
