The Cisco WCS/NCS API for Guest User Administration provides administrators with the ability to integrate their Cisco Guest Access solution with 3rd party guest access provisioning or reporting solutions via an open API.
- Improved flexibility: 3rd party interfaces can improve reporting and visibility into guest user activity
- Ease of management: Provides the ability to import or export guest user statistics between 3rd party systems and WCS/NCS
- Streamlined Operations: Administrators can leverage their existing 3rd party guest access solutions for their guest lifecycle management on the Cisco Unified Wireless Network
The Cisco Guest Access solution, as part of the Cisco Unified Wireless Network, helps mitigate network security risks, while extending the appropriate level of network access to visitors. Most organizations today have an ecosystem of partners, vendors, and contractors in their day-to-day business processes. Guest users can be classified as any non-employee or otherwise unauthorized internal network user requiring network connectivity. Most commonly, these users require only the ability to access the public internet and/or VPN connectivity. In certain instances, however, mobile visitors perform critical business functions and require precise, locked-down access to internal network resources. With Cisco Guest Access, network privileges are customizable for any guest user access requirement.
