Is a WAN connection between the IVR PG and PG client ( on the IVR) supported?

The recommendation is that a PG should be local to its peripheral.
So although it may work it won't be supported.

OK, so then is a WAN connection between the PG and ICM supported, and could you point me to documentation where the official policy on these things is detailed?
