Queued tasks status during failover

Hi,
 
our partner is trying to develop 3rd party IVR interface which works pretty well so far for them except some failover scenarios.
 
They observed that when they queue a contact via route request to ICM and PG looses connection between IVR and PG, tasks queued stay in the queue for about 3 minutes before cancelled. Is there a way to have them cancelled immediatelly?
