Remove CiscoIPPhoneStatusFile

Hi everybody,

is there any way to remove a CiscoIPPhoneStatusFile from a phone after it is displayed? The CiscoIPPhoneStatusFile has no timer.

Generally an application would use CiscoIPPhoneExecute to push down a URL to another screen a URI like 'App:Close' or 'Init:Services' to clear the app.  Note, the CiscoIPPhoneStatus object can only be cleared by the app (or a phone reset), so if the object is displayed and the app 'goes away', users are stuck.
It is the general guidance to avoid CiscoIPPhoneStatus, but in certain cases it is still very useful...

Hi, i am using Cisco 8961 phones to test CiscoIPPhoneStatusFile object. The App will take care of the CiscoIPPhoneStatusFile and the user can turn this notification feature on and off with the app. @David Staudt: So when i am not using CiscoIPPhoneStatusFile, is there any other way to display information an a cisco phone? it looked quite usefull as it does not use the complete display like CiscoIPPhoneText and cannot be closed by the user... Tanks for your requests :-)

You can reset this by sending "Init:AppStatus" URI through CiscoIPPhoneExecute to the phone.
