Multiline menu entries on 89/99XX phones

Hi,

on the 79XX phones it was possible in CiscoIPPhoneMenu to add entries which have multiple lines using \n as a linebreak.

It seems the new 89/99XX phones simply ignore the linebreak which makes it impossible to display entries with more information.

Is there a way to workaround this, or is there something planned in following firmware releases?

Thanks,
Roland

This has been brought up recently for these newer model phones, we can check whether these is considered a bug and open a defect.  Please provide a wireshark packet capture from the phone's extra switch port from phone boot-up through test execution.

Having the same issue here on 9971, \n is ignored.  Also, menu items will not span more than one line.

Running firmware 9.0.3.  I'll try to get a capture if I have time.

Regards,
Eric Conway

We are facing the same issue with 9971\9951\8961 phone models while displaying multi-line text in menu items.

Is there's any workaround for this or new firmware release?

Please make sure you are using the latest firmware on the phones.

If you are, please send me a pcap when you reproduce the issue.

Thanks,
