Can someone explain why we would not get inbound RTP stream when using the RTP API for developing a call recording application?

We aren't dealing with the SIP - We are simple sending an xml command to the phone and having it send rtp to and address of our choosing.  That rtp has only one side of the conversation - is it possible to get both sides of the conversation even if it would mean getting multiple rtp streams?
