The Cisco IP Solution Center (ISC) application program interface (API) allows you to use operations support system (OSS) client programs to connect to the ISC system. The ISC APIs provide a mechanism for inserting, retrieving, updating, and removing data from ISC servers using an eXtensible Markup Language (XML) interface request/response system. The ISC API optionally uses Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTPS) for message encryption, and Cisco role-based access control (RBAC) for user authentication.
