That seems to have done the trick -- thanks. Do you mind saying which of the various routes I tried brought this to your attention?

Thanks once again.

In answer to logging in to im.ciscowebex.com, yes, I can do that without a problem, except for the certificate warning I mentioned previously:

[i]You attempted to reach <strong style="font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 21px;">im4.ciscowebex.com[/b], but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as <strong style="font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 21px;">*.webexconnect.com[/b]. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of <strong style="font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 21px;">im4.ciscowebex.com[/b].[/i]

I believe [b]https://im.ciscowebex.com/isj1 [/b] will be the right httpbinding address.
If you just paste this URL to your browser you should be able to see the something like

Please reference the following protocols:

    RFC 3920: Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP): Core
    RFC 3921: Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP): Instant Messaging and Presence
    XEP-0124: Bidirectional-streams Over Synchronous HTTP (BOSH)
    XEP-0206: XMPP Over BOSH

Now, the problem will be what kind of account you are using. Can you login to https://im.ciscowebex.com using your account?

Does anyone think it might be a certificate problem? When I use a browser to go to im4.ciscowebex.com (which is where I'm getting pushed from im.ciscowebex.com), I get the error below. Any thoughts on how to get around this, or if you think this might be the issue? If I wasn't using Javascript, I'd maybe use a TrustAllCertificatePolicy to test this theory?

Thanks in advance for any assistance anyone is able to provide.

P.S. Why does this site only seem to work properly with Firefox?

Also, does this mean then that WebEx does support connectivity without the use of a Proxy?

I'm having some difficulty getting going with the CAXL for hosted deployment. I've downloaded the appropriate CAXL files for the hosted deployment and placed them on a web server (CAXL v2012.02.34009 RELEASE).

The documentation states that:

"[i]If the BOSH server supports it and the users of the CAXL-based application are using modern browsers, there is no need to setup a server-based proxy. Instead, specify the absolute URL to the BOSH server in the "httpBindingURL" configuration properties (either globally or as passed to Client.connect):[/i]"

So, the obvious question is, does the hosted deployment support not having a server-based proxy? I would have thought the documentation might mention it, but I can't seem to find it. I am using a modern browser, I've tried Chrome and Safari with the same result.

In addition, the documentation also doesn't specify what the httpBindingURL might be for the hosted deployment either. On this forum, I found that it should be "https://im.ciscowebex.com/http-bind", so that's what I've tried.

However, when I have this code:

var connArgs = {
	   		httpBindingURL: "https://im.ciscowebex.com/http-bind"
}
jabberwerx.$(document).bind("ready", function () {
    client.connect("myusername@mydomainname", "mypassword", connArgs);
});

I just get the error:

"[i]closed: <stream:error xmlns:stream="[url=http://etherx.jabber.org/streams]http://etherx.jabber.org/streams[/url]"><undefined-condition xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-streams"/></stream:error>[/i]"

As well as the error:

"[i]Could not find a translation for en-US[/i]"

I've also tried the SampleClient which gives me an operation failed and a little more detail in the console as in the attached document.

I'm sure it's something simple, and I'm really hoping I don't have to set up a proxy... If anyone can help get me started, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Darren.
