Trying to use the latest JTAPI client JAR 9.1 against CUCM :
System version: 8.5.1.13900-5

Not compatable ?

Getting the standard error:

Cisco Error Code: -1932787632 - CTIERR_INCOMPATIBLE_PROTOCOL_VERSION [JTAPI and CTI versions are not compatible : CtiError Protocol version not supported]

Cisco CTI clients are not intended to work across major versions - e.g. 8.x to 9.x.  CTI clients within a version train are designed/expected to work, however these combinations are not tested - e.g. 8.0(1) to 8.5(1).  Only the matched UCM and CTI client version is fully regression tested, and is always the recommended deployment.

CUCM version has to higher than the client version (or same). The combination you are using is not expected to work.
JTAPI client version 8.5.1.x.z is supposed to work with CUCM version 9.1.x not vice versa.
