Benefits of Testing

By demonstrating interoperability through IVT, Developers can promote products and technologies as "Cisco Compatible" in marketing material and the CDN Solutions Catalogue. Products with a Compatibility logo are eligible for Cisco Cooperative Support. Customers faced with a choice between tested and un-tested products may prefer the product that has gone through IVT. Customers may also be reassured by knowing that your technologies have been pre-tested, reducing integration costs, accelerating deployments and minimizing risk of failure. Often Cisco IVT is a pre-requisite for customers to consider the solution.

Testing Requirement

Testing is required for Preferred and Solution Developer levels. Registered Developers may optionally test to receive a Compatibility logo. See technology center details for program specific criteria and re-testing requirements.

Participation

Testing participation requires a CDN membership, a registered product and a IVT Request. Test requests are submitted via the Developer Dashboard, under the Registered Products Tab. Select "Actions" and "Add New IVT" next to the product to be submitted for IVT. Detailed steps can be found in section 4.5 of Partner Application Instructions under "Add New IVT Request."

Fees

Partners may be required to complete a statement of work and are responsible for all fees associated with the testing. Partners may also be required to ship equipment for proprietary HW solutions, assist with product configuration and provide onsite or on call support for testing execution.

The fees are program dependent and range from US $1,000.00 - $25,000.00. Fees are generally tied to the complexity of the lab and integration. See specific technology center Testing page for details.
