Getting Started with the Physical Security Suite API

 
You should have a thorough understanding of the Physical Security products like VSM, IPICS, CPAM and high-level programming language such as Java, or an equivalent language.
 
Video Surveillance Manager (VSM) APIs :
 
Cisco VSM API is used to control various Cisco VSM features and functions. You should have knowledge or experience with Cisco VSM, a high-level programming language, and the following:
  • C#
  • JavaScript programming languages
  • Hyper Text Transport Protocol (HTTP) or Secure HTTP (HTTPS)
  • Extensible Markup Language (XML)
 
IP Interoperability and Collaboration System (IPICS) APIs :
 
Cisco IPICS API can be used to control various Cisco IPICS features and functions. You should have knowledge of Cisco IPICS, a high-level programming language, and the following:
 
  • Extensible Markup Language (XML)
  • XML schema
  • Web services
  • REST web standards
  • Eclipse integrated development environment (IDE)
  • Hyper Text Transport Protocol (HTTP) or Secure HTTP (HTTPS)
  • Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)

Cisco CPAM API can be used to control Cisco CPAM features and functions. You should have knowledge of Cisco CPAM., a high-level programming language, and the following:
 
  • Extensible Markup Language (XML)
  • XML schema
  • Web services
  • Hyper Text Transport Protocol (HTTP) or Secure HTTP (HTTPS)
  • Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)
