This case study is a great example of how the Cisco Smart Business Portal enables a linkage between the a key business application, the Ticket Master ticketing system, and Cisco Unified Communications. This enables sales persons to have instant access to fan data and purchasing history when customers call into the organization.
A business adapter was created for the Ticket Master database, along with mashups and web parts which create a highly relevant, roles based view. Business adapters can be created and used as a template targeting application install bases or industry verticals. Additional web parts and mashups could be created to support business objectives like call out camaigns to customers using click to dial functionality.
