Opened up the CCNA voice Book and started studying. I found CCP in the book and doewnloaded it to my pc. It is only opening to half or 1/3 of the ie window. updated adobe no juice. Java? Have to run as administrator to get it to open. Any feedback is appreciated. I really use the CLI but figured more is better...and its got a few words in the book...

Hi Kevin, In standalone SocialMiner, you can change agent chat alias in Settings on SocialMiner Home tab. But it only applies to a standalone SocialMiner. If CCX integration, then you need to ask CCX team on how it can be configured and used. As far as I know, if the customer wants to change agent alias, then it is CCX issue and it is possible that CCX may already have a feature request for that. For the customer’s name, the “author” field from the chat-form is used and it can be modified by modifying the actual chat-form. Please redirect your question to CCE team. We're currently working on a new deployment of the SocialMiner 9.0.1, coupled with UCCX 9.0.2, to implement customer chat support. We have a working demo up and running, but we've noticed that the agent name that is displayed to the customer is the AD username of the agent. Is there a setting to change it so that the agent's first name only is displayed instead of their AD username (first initial+last name)?

Hi Koushal - You don't mention what version you are running. Twitter recently updated their APIs. We provided a COP file patch (platform-csa-9.0.1-cop-3.cop.sgn), which takes care of most of their API changes. But recently Twitter made another API change. Support for this latest change is addressed in SocialMiner as a workaround for a defect. So, you need to be running SocialMiner version 9.0(1) with COP 3 and you need to apply the workaround described in CSCue76034. This is also described in Field Notice: FN 63626 SocialMiner times out when authorizing or reauthorizing a Twitter. Thank you - The SocialMiner team

Error during Twitter Account Feed creation

I am trying to create a Twitter Account feed for a campaign and I am getting the following messages/errors. Wait for the Twitter authorization page to load. This Feed cannot be saved. Attempts to connect to Twitter were unsuccessful. Check the proxy settings and/or internet connection for the CCP server. Our internet connection is working perfectly. Before this we had successfully made feeds for twitter via rss and twitter stream. Only twitter account feed is giving the following error. What could be the problem?

It appears that you are using the Facebook template as a starting point. We suggest that you refer to the custom reply template section in the developer guide. The sample code provided there is a much better starting place for you to develop your own custom reply template.

We thought this could be an issue regarding a user's privacy level on facebook but there were several posts with same user whose comments were visible in some posts and not visible in other posts on the API result page. Hi, Please clarify if you not getting the results you wanted using SocialMiner REST API campaign results call? Are you refereeing to some specific time frame that the results are missing for? Also it is not clear if you also not getting the expected results in SocialMIner UI HOME page for this specific campaign? Please clarify. In any case, there are detail explanations in User Guide on how to use campaign results api with an additional parameters and what happens if those are not provided (what kind of defaults are used instead). Please refer to this document. I pasted some details below , but refer to the document for the complete reference: ============================================================================== •timestamp: Integer. Display results older results than this timestamp. Defaults to the time of request if not provided. If startIndex is not specified then timestamp assumes startIndex = 0. • resultsPerPage: Integer. The maximum number of results to be returned. Default is 50 and maximum is 200. • startIndex: Integer. The number of results to skip based on the timestamp. Used for pagination. Assuming resultsPerPage is set at the default of 50, then you could create a “page 2” link by using the timestamp provided in the href of the feed/link rel="self" and a startIndex of 50. Page 3 would use the same timestamp and a startIndex of 100, and so on. Note *If timestamp is provided and startIndex is not provided, then the results are displayed up to the “resultsPerPage” with a creation date older than “timestamp”, starting at index 0. *If timestamp is not provided and startIndex is provided, then the results are displayed up to the “resultsPerPage” with a creation date older than “now” starting at startIndex. For SocialMIner UI, please look if there may be an additional filter set for the campaign or there is a tag filtering going on (you can check it in Settings). That can narrow down the original results set. You can also look at the ccpapi logs to see what query is used , when you select the campaign on HOME page. Please also note that UI will also filter based on the SocialContact state chosen (unread, handled, etc.) From the logs you can see how query looks like and try the corresponding REST api call. So I use the following for the data : http:///ccp-webapp/ccp/campaign/CampaignName/results but it is missing out certain posts/comments. Although all the post data is available in Social Miner but the results page doesn't show them. Is it the correct link for the xml data of the feed? Any reason why it's not showing all the data?

In SocialMiner 9.0 there were changes made to Custom Reply Template javascripts that were not backward compatible. This was mentioned in 9.0 release notes. SocialMiner 9.0 Developer guide contains the instructions to migrate the pre 9.0 templates to 9.0 format. it is under "Appendix D" section. We recently got Social Miner 9.0 and are shifting from 8.5 but in the process our custom reply templates stopped working. Everything shows up but the buttons don't work, the error messages don't show nor does it show any author/post description. Is there any new format for the custom reply template for Social Miner 9.0? If you don't mind can you give me a link to a sample custom reply template for 9.0?

You have to setup a self-signed certificate. Please refer to this section of the User Guide for guidance - http://docwiki-dev.cisco.com/wiki/SocialMiner_Release_9.1(1)#Avoiding_certificate_warning Also, IE9 and Chrome are not supported browsers. IE8 and Firefore are supported.
