The current CCP pilot systems are installed with Shindig as the default OpenSocial Gadget container. In a future version, the systems will use "ECP Foundation" which will be a customized version of Shindig developed as part of the Enterprise Collaboration Platform.

In addition to the on-board gadget container, CCP gadgets may be run in other OpenSocial Gadget Containers. With Sprint 14 we have verified that CCP gadgets can run in Quad or in iGoogle.

The attached videos show how to add a CCP gadget to Quad or to iGoogle. Note: you can even run iGoogle on your mobile phone. We've tried it on a iPhone and it works fine.

You will see how the appearance alters based on the container (there is even differences between iGoogle and iGoogle for a mobile device) and there are some capabilities that we have not yet implemented such as gadget settings to control the height of the gadget but please take a moment and out this capability offers a glimpse of the power of this gadget-based approach.

Note: if you have another OpenSocial gadget container (like a new version of Confluence), we encourage you to try it. Let us know if it works.
